FlyBoy from Romero’s ‘Dawn of the Dead‘
I’m feeling dead dog tired this morning, no doubt from a combination of lack of sleep last night and the styrofoam cup of dishwater coffee I consumed while listening to a cheerful group of elementary school teachers sing ‘Alouette‘. The pancakes were pretty good though, and they momentarily curbed my insatiable lust for brains……….
I am hoping that at some point this coming weekend, I’ll be able to take in the latest Romero film ‘Diary of the Dead‘. I’m sure it will be horribly gory, with a thin premise of plot development, and filled with actors I’ve never heard of (and probably won’t ever see again), but I will undoubtedly wallow in this low-budget splaterrific killfest; critics be damned. Romero’s last movie, ‘Land of the Dead‘, was pretty brutal in a lot of ways, but all it took for me to enjoy it was the appearance of a flip-head zombie priest, whose “pop-top” surprise attack left me screaming with glee. Long live Romero.

Only one thing is going to keep me from seeing “DIARY OF THE DEAD” - shaky cam. Also: it not coming to Lethbridge.

Oh jeez. It had better come! And I hadn’t even thought about the possibility of shaky cam…. crap.
